Hebrews 13:15 · Psalm 50:23
Through him, then, let’s offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God’s salvation to him.
Reflection
If we do not have an earthly temple, how do we worship? The Bible says: “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name”. We do not bring dead animals to God. We bring our words.
We speak and sing praise to God through Jesus. And we do this “continually” — not just on sunny days, but also in the dark days when people speak evil of us. Praising God when life hurts is a true sacrifice that honors Him.

Theology
The Hope
Jesus gives you a song of victory that troubles and hard days cannot silence.
Daily life
The Heart
We often stop praising God and begin to grumble when hard times come.
Prayer
Lord God, take away my grumbling heart. Put a sacrifice of praise on my lips today, and help me speak good of Your name to others. Amen.
