Hebrews 9:13–14
For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Reflection
Under the old law, animal blood and the ashes of a heifer could only clean the outside of a person. It made a person clean enough on the outside to join the camp, but it could not touch their inner heart.
The Bible asks: If animal blood can clean the body on the outside, how much more will the blood of Christ clean your inside? Jesus had no sin or blemish in Him. Through the Holy Spirit, He offered Himself to God. Because Jesus is the sinless Son of God, His blood has infinite power to clean your soul.

We often try to look clean on the outside by following religious rules, but our hearts still feel dirty.
Prayer
Holy Lord, my own efforts cannot make my heart pure. Thank You that the blood of Jesus has the power to wash my soul clean. Amen.
