Hebrews 9:14 · 1 John 1:9

How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Reflection

God built a conscience inside every human soul. The conscience is like an inner court that tells us when we are guilty of breaking God’s law. People try to quiet their conscience by working long hours, seeking pleasure, or ignoring their guilt. But the stain remains deep inside.

The Bible says the blood of Jesus purifies our conscience. When you look to Jesus on the cross, His blood answers the court of your heart and washes away the stain of guilt.
