Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 · Galatians 6:2

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Reflection

The Bible says: “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.” When two people work together, they can do far more than when they work alone. More than that, two people bring safety. The Bible says: “If they fall, one will lift up his fellow.” In this life, we all trip. We face sickness, sadness, and moral mistakes. If you are alone when you fall, it is very hard to stand up. But a true friend reaches down and lifts you back to your feet.

Theology

The Hope

God gives us brothers and sisters to lift us up when our own strength runs out.

Daily life

The Heart

Our pride makes us hide our weaknesses because we do not want to ask for help.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of friends who walk with me. Give me the humility to ask for help when I fall, and make me ready to lift up others. Amen.
