Galatians 4:4–5 · John 2:4 · John 17:1
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law, that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of children. Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.” Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you.”
Reflection
We live by ticking clocks, and we often try to rush God when we pray. But when Jesus came to earth, He came at the exact right time. He entered our ticking clock. Throughout His life, people tried to push Him to act faster. Jesus said: “My hour has not yet come.” He knew the time to weep at a friend’s grave, the time to keep silent before judges, and the time to speak. When His hour did come, He entered the time to die on the cross. The Lord of time let nails hold Him in time to save us.

The Heart
We often pray like we are rating a driver who is late, demanding that God act right now.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for entering our short days and dying for my sins at the right hour. Teach me to follow Your steps and trust Your perfect timing. Amen.
