Ecclesiastes 3:11 · Romans 8:28
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Reflection
The Bible says that God has made everything beautiful in its time. The word beautiful here does not mean pretty. It means fitting—placed right where it belongs. A hard thing can hurt very much, yet still be placed well by God. Waiting can feel ugly to our eyes, but it can still be on time in God's plan. The Bible also says we cannot trace God's work from start to finish. That limit is a gift of mercy. It keeps us from trying to act like God with our calendars.

The Hope
God sees the whole picture from the start to the end, and He places every piece with care.
Daily life
The Heart
We demand to know why hard things happen right now, and we feel bitter when we cannot see the reason.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me trust that You make all things fitting in Your time. Take away my need to know every answer, and let me trust Your good plan. Amen.
