Hebrews 12:3 · Romans 8:18
For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.
Reflection
The Bible tells us to “consider” Jesus so that we do not grow tired or give up. Consider is like doing math in school. Put both sides on paper. On one side, put your hard week, your shame, your tired body, and your trials. On the other side, put what Jesus suffered for you: the cross, the hate from sinners, and the shame He carried for your soul.
His load was far heavier, and His finish is sure. Doing this math is like medicine for a weak heart. It stops your soul from going limp.

The Hope
Looking at Jesus gives you fresh power to take the next step without losing heart.
Daily life
The Heart
We easily grow faint when we look only at our daily pain and forget what Jesus took for us.
Prayer
Living Lord, when I feel tired and ready to quit, help me remember what You bore for me on the cross. Give me joy, lift my weak knees, and keep me running with my eyes on You until I see Your face. Amen.
