Hebrews 10:22 · Ezekiel 36:25–26
Let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Reflection
The Bible gives us a warm command: “Let us draw near”. God does not want you to stay far away. He wants you to come close with a true heart and full trust.
How can we do this? The Bible says our hearts are sprinkled clean from an evil conscience, and our bodies are washed with pure water. An evil conscience is that voice inside that tells you God is angry with you. But the blood of Jesus washes away your guilt, so you can come near without fear.
