Hebrews 10:20 · Matthew 27:51
By the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh. Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
Reflection
In the old temple, a thick, heavy curtain stood between God and man. That curtain was a sign that sin had closed the road to God. But Jesus opened a “new and living way” through the curtain — that is, through His flesh.
When Jesus died on the cross, His body was torn open for our sins. At that exact moment, the temple curtain was torn in two from top to bottom. The wall of separation is gone forever.

The Hope
Jesus tore down the wall between you and God, opening a living path that will never close.
Daily life
The Heart
We often think we must climb our own road to heaven by following rules, but our own roads lead nowhere.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving Your body on the cross for me. Thank You for tearing down the wall of sin and bringing me home to God. Amen.
