Ecclesiastes 3:12–14 · Colossians 3:23
I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live. Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God has done it, that men should fear before him. And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.
Reflection
Many people feel behind. You look at messages on your phone, see other people buy homes or get married, and your heart says, “I am late.” But waiting is not waste. God can grow quiet strength in a slow season that quick success can never build. The Bible calls us to be where our feet are. Do not hate the day of small work. If you are washing dishes, writing a paper, coding, or caring for children, receive this hour as God’s gift. Live in today with thanks, and let God hold tomorrow.
